How to Recover Deleted Messages on Android Phone via Backup

Restoring deleted text messages using backups requires an initial factory reset and recovering any Android phone backup. It erases all of the data on your phone. So, confirming you have taken a backup before proceeding is essential.

Android users also have automatic backups that are stored in Google Drive.  These steps will differ depending on the device and the Android version. Therefore, the procedure could be different depending on your device. Let’s Start:-

Step 1 – On any brand of Android phone, Navigate to Settings > Google. Tap on the “Google” option at the bottom of the list, as shown in the screenshot.

Step 2 – On the next screen, you’ll see two options: “Recommend” or “All Services.” Tap “All Services” to check your backup details, including photos and videos, SMS and MMS messages, and call history.

Step 4 – On the next screen, navigate to Settings > Additional settings > Backup and reset > Reset phone (or Factory reset). Then, tap Erase all data and enter your PIN to confirm. Finally, tap Erase all data again to complete the factory reset.

Finally, go to Settings > Google. Enter the email address associated with your backup, and then select “Backup and restore.”

Note: You can create a local backup by going to Settings > Additional settings > Backup and reset > Back up & migrate > Clone phone (or Local backup) or Cloud.

How to Recover Deleted Messages from iPhone:

Step 1- Turn on Your iphone and then Go to Settings > Profile Icon (Your Name).

Step 2 – After tapping the name icon, scroll down and tap the iCloud icon in the menu list, as shown in the image below.

Step 3 – On the next screen, you’ll see Photos, Backups & Docs listed using iCloud. You can also check for other apps using iCloud by scrolling down. If any apps aren’t using iCloud and you want them to back up, turn them on. Finally, tap the “iCloud Backup” option (On/Off), as shown in the screenshot below.

On the Next Screen, You will See Photos, Backups Docs is used by icloud and you can also check by scrolling down that apps using icloud

Step 4 – Once you’re inside the iCloud Backup option, you can turn on “Back up this iPhone” or “Back up over Cellular Data” (depending on your preference). Then, tap “Back Up Now,” as shown in the image below.

Step 5 –  Next, go to Settings and scroll down to the bottom of the list. There, you’ll find “Transfer or Reset iPhone.”

Step 6 – Finally, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap “Erase All Content and Settings.” However, remember to back up your data first, as discussed earlier. Your iPhone will reset once you confirm with your PIN or Face ID. After the reset, you can restore your deleted messages, files, photos, and other data.
